There are over 4,000 different types of cockroaches, 55 of which are found in the United States.

Can a Cockroach make you sick?

Yes, a cockroach does carry diseases. Here are a few:

  • SALMONELLA- The scary thing is these cockroaches carry a serious disease like Salmonella.

  • E.COLI- A serious disease caused from food poisoning bacteria.

  • ENTEROCOCCUS- This causes meningitis and urinary tract infection in the body.  This disease enters the body through cockroach contaminated objects.

Termite Control

There are 45 different kinds of Termites

There are about 45 different kinds of species of termites found in the U.S., each of which falls into one of the three main termite types: subterranean. drywood. dampwood.

An important difference between the two is that subterranean termites nest in the ground, while drywood termites nest inside the wood they are infesting.  This leads to varying points of attack on your property.  Subterranean termites make mud tubes to tunnel through the ground and invade your home.

What is worse drywood termites or subterranean termites?

Subterranean termites are much more dangerous because they cause more significant damage than drywood termites.  Their colonies can develop up to 1 million strong.  Subterranean termites have a soft white body with no eyes. They are typically no longer than a centimeter.

What happens if you ignore termites?

Hollowed- out and even collapsing structures — that's what happens if you ignore termites. After all, they feast on wood, including timber and furniture.  Give them enough time, and they can cause the inner parts of these structures to become porous.  If that happens, the materials can quickly disintegrate.

What time of year are termites active?

Most species of subterranean termites swarm during the spring and summer months, typically on a warm day with calm winds after a rainfall.  Drywood termites and one particular species of subterranean termite (R. hageni) typically swarm during the late summer or fall months, from August through November.
